Pediatric blunt cerebrovascular injuries: A national trauma database study

Blunt cerebrovascular injuries (BCVIs) are rare in pediatric trauma patients, occurring in 0.23% of cases. Vertebral artery injuries are more common than carotid artery injuries, which are linked to longer hospital stays and increased stroke risk.
