Conversion from Off to On-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting. Is it Avoidable?

Emergency conversion during off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB) to on-pump CABG (ONCAB) is linked to higher risks. Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and higher New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional classification face increased conversion risks.
