Background:

E-learning offers flexible lifelong learning and continuing professional development (CPD) for nurses.
Research often overlooks registered nurses' e-learning experiences compared to pre-registration students.

Purpose of the Study:

To explore e-learning's concept and nurses' perceptions of its value for lifelong learning and CPD.
To identify factors influencing nurses' attitudes towards e-learning and its perceived value.

Main Methods:

A mixed-methods sequential explanatory design was employed.
Phase 1: 39 children's nurses completed questionnaires on e-learning's flexibility, accessibility, value, and CPD contribution.
Phase 2: Semi-structured interviews with 12 participants explored questionnaire findings.

Over half of respondents (22/39) agreed e-learning aids CPD.
