Abstract:
An analysis of the words employed in the three conditions of the Velten Mood Induction technique (Elated, Depressed, Neutral) by the Dictionary of Affect in Language provided some validation for the affective tone of the two mood-inducing conditions while highlighting problems associated with the supposedly neutral induction.
