Summary

Embedded performance validity tests (ePVTs) show promise for multiple sclerosis (MS) patients, with established cut-offs generally performing well. Further research is needed for MS patients with more advanced disease.

Background:

  • Limited data exists on embedded performance validity tests (ePVTs) in multiple sclerosis (MS) populations.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the performance of previously validated ePVTs in a sample of MS patients.
  • To determine if ePVTs validated in other neurological conditions maintain similar performance in MS.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective analysis of ePVT performance in MS patients.
  • Calculation of below-criterion responding prevalence at various cut-off scores.
  • Inclusion of MS patients who passed a stand-alone performance validity test (PVT).
