Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the relationship between anogenital distance and premature ejaculation.
  • To explore AGD as a predictor of prenatal testosterone exposure in men with PE.

Main Methods:

  • A study involving 150 men between January and May 2019.
  • Data collected included age, lifestyle factors, intravaginal ejaculation latency time, BMI, PE diagnostic tool scores, and AGD (anal point to scrotum and penis).
  • Participants were categorized into PE (score ≥11) and control (score <11) groups based on the PE diagnostic tool.

Main Results:

  • The mean age was 30.73 ± 4.40 years, and mean intravaginal ejaculation latency time was 3.42 ± 2.71 minutes.
  • Men in the PE group exhibited significantly shorter AGD measurements (77.46 ± 2.31 mm and 54.78 ± 2.56 mm) compared to the control group (81.32 ± 3.11 mm and 58.16 ± 3.48 mm).
  • Statistical analysis revealed significant differences between the groups (p < .001).

Conclusions:

  • A negative correlation exists between anogenital distance and premature ejaculation diagnostic tool scores.
  • Reduced AGD may be associated with premature ejaculation, potentially indicating altered prenatal androgenic influence.
