Blocking elevated p38 MAPK restores efferocytosis and inflammatory resolution in the elderly

Aging impairs the resolution of inflammation due to reduced T cell immunoglobulin mucin receptor-4 (TIM-4) on macrophages. Inhibiting p38 MAPK in elderly individuals restored TIM-4, improving efferocytosis and inflammation resolution.
