Altered bile acid (BA) signaling impacts both Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D) and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Understanding these shared pathways, particularly involving fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19), may lead to new targeted therapies.
