Positional relationship between the external acoustic meatus and sigmoid sinus: an MRI study

The positional relationship between the external acoustic meatus (EAM) and sigmoid sinus (SS) is highly variable. Contrast MRI is recommended for surgical planning near the EAM due to potential adjacency.
