Iliac crest reconstruction following full-thickness graft: a preliminary note
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research
|March 1, 1977
Abstract:
Pain, pressure areas and even visceral herniation may accompany taking large full-thickness iliac crest grafts. Reconstruction of the defect with a rib graft was performed in 8 cases. These patients had little pain in the donor site, could be rolled on that side comfortably and completely incorporated the rib graft in twelve weeks radiographically.
