Summary

This study assessed antioxidant properties in Umbelliferae plants. Total phenolic content strongly correlated with antioxidant activity, with five species showing the highest efficacy.

  • Sanicula rubiflora, Sanicula chinensis, Torilis japonica, Torilis scabra, and Angelica fallax exhibited the strongest antioxidant activity.

Conclusions:

  • The study demonstrates significant antioxidant potential in selected Umbelliferae plant extracts.
  • Total phenolic content is a key indicator of antioxidant capacity in these species.
  • Five specific Umbelliferae species are identified as promising sources of natural antioxidants.
