Abstract:
We synthesize an organometallic conjugated polymer with alternating organoboron units and diethynyl Hg(ii) units, which has an ultrahigh number-average molecular weight (Mn) of 328 000 and a polydispersity (PDI) of 1.94. Besides its opto-electronic properties, its mechanical properties are reported.
