Measuring the impedance of the active electrode of a single channel cochlear implant in situ
1Laboratory of Electronic Sensory Substitutions, Institute of Physiological Regulations, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, Prague.
Abstract:
A number of failures of extracochlear implants are caused by a bad contact between the active electrode and the tissue. A novel and simple method has been developed to enable the impedance of the active electrode to be measured before completion of surgery.
