Certain chromosomal polymorphisms, specifically pericentric inversions and D/G genome variations, increase the risk of multinucleated embryos during in vitro fertilization-intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF-ICSI) cycles. However, 1, 9, and 16 qh+ polymorphisms do not appear to affect this risk.
