Collectively, these platforms have improved patient satisfaction scores and outcomes. Patient portals, mobile health applications, and chatbots can engage orthopedic patients and improve the effectiveness of the perioperative orthopedic surgical home. There are specific differences in these applications that should be noted and accounted for.
