  • While motor symptoms improved, cognitive and affective symptoms showed slower remission, with some not fully resolving by one-year follow-up.

  • Cerebellar cognitive affective syndrome may be an underdiagnosed complication of acute postinfectious cerebellar ataxia in children.
  • The prolonged nature of cognitive and affective symptoms warrants consideration in long-term management.
