Background:

Reflux esophagitis (RE) is a common gastrointestinal disorder.
Acupuncture is a widely used therapy for RE in clinical practice.
Understanding acupoint selection rules can optimize acupuncture efficacy for RE.

Purpose of the Study:

To explore acupoint selection rules for reflux esophagitis (RE) using data mining.
To provide evidence-based references for clinical acupuncture in RE treatment.
To identify core acupoint combinations and prescriptions for RE.

Systematic literature search of acupuncture for RE from 2000-2019 in major Chinese databases.
Data mining techniques (descriptive and association analysis) applied to extracted acupoint prescriptions.
Selection of 46 articles and extraction of 60 acupoint prescriptions.
