Purpose of the Study:

  • To quantitatively assess changes in retinal vascular diameter after strabismus surgery.

Conclusions:

  • Strabismus surgery may transiently increase retinal blood flow in the early postoperative period.
  • Retinal hemodynamic changes likely normalize within a week post-surgery.
  • Transection of anterior ciliary arteries may be a primary factor influencing early retinal hemodynamic alterations.
