Hemoglobin Levels are Low in Sarcopenic and Osteosarcopenic Older Persons

Older adults with sarcopenia and osteosarcopenia have a higher risk of anemia. This study found lower hemoglobin levels in these groups compared to controls and those with osteoporosis alone.

- Previous associations between osteoporosis and anemia may be confounded by the inclusion of osteosarcopenic individuals in osteoporosis cohorts.
