Low Serum Bicarbonate and CKD Progression in Children

In pediatric patients with glomerular kidney disease, low serum bicarbonate levels significantly increase the risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression. Treating low bicarbonate levels may reduce this risk, but further research is needed.
