Odontogenic infections (OI) are linked to maxillary sinus pathologic disorder (MSPD). Proximity of upper tooth roots to the sinus floor increases the risk of developing MSPD, highlighting a significant association.

- The close proximity of palatine root apices to the maxillary sinus floor is a predisposing factor for MSPD.
