Ejaculatory abstinence in semen analysis: does it make any sense?

Shorter ejaculatory abstinence periods, even less than 24 hours, yield comparable semen parameters to longer intervals in men undergoing infertility evaluation. This suggests current recommendations for 2-7 days of abstinence may be unnecessarily conservative.
