Summary

A man experienced upper gastrointestinal bleeding from angiodysplasia in his transposed colon. This rare complication occurred decades after a colonic transposition surgery for a childhood lye stricture.

Background:

Colonic transposition is a surgical procedure used to reconstruct the esophagus or alimentary tract.
