Screening for functional gastrointestinal disorders in children with epilepsy

Children with epilepsy have a higher prevalence of functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) compared to healthy children. Screening for FGIDs is recommended for pediatric epilepsy patients, particularly those with gastrointestinal symptoms.
