  • Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) indicated a good model fit (GFI=0.914, AGFI=0.890, CFI=0.870, RMSEA=0.061).
  • The EMES score showed significant correlations with BMI, mindfulness, body dissatisfaction, drive for thinness, and life satisfaction.

Conclusions:

  • The EMES is the first scale to multidimensionally measure the expanded model of mindful eating.
  • This novel scale can serve as an effective measurement tool for researchers and practitioners.
  • The EMES has the potential to advance the study and application of mindful eating in health and sustainability.
