Abstract:
In diseases exhibiting seasonal fluctuations, it may make sense to exploit the seasonality when devising control strategies. In this paper, the effect of using a seasonal screening program to control gonorrhea is examined. Ordinary differential equation models are analyzed with perturbation methods and an optimum seasonal control strategy is determined.
