Noninvasive tests (NITs) can effectively screen for advanced liver fibrosis in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Sequential testing with confirmatory Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) offers the highest specificity and likelihood ratio for accurate diagnosis.
