Presents the obituary of Zella Luria (1924 -2018). Zella Luria, a pioneering female psychologist, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2018, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Luria is best known for her work on the development of gender identity and sexuality. Her contributions formed part of a shift in the field at large away from learning theory and toward the cognitive revolution of the 1970s.
