Primary cerebral T-cell lymphoma: a case report.

Background:

Primary central nervous system lymphomas (PCNSLs) are rare, with most cases being B-cell in origin.
T-cell lymphomas of the central nervous system are exceptionally uncommon.

Observation:

A 16-year-old male presented with a rapidly progressing cerebral pleomorphic lymphoma.
Immunohistochemical analysis confirmed the tumor's T-cell lineage.

Findings:

This case represents the first documented instance of primary T-cell lymphoma originating within the central nervous system.
The tumor exhibited pleomorphic characteristics and rapid progression.

Implications:

This case expands the known spectrum of primary central nervous system lymphomas.
Highlights the importance of considering T-cell lineage in the differential diagnosis of CNS lymphomas, even in rare presentations.
Further research may be warranted to understand the pathogenesis and treatment of primary CNS T-cell lymphomas.
