Hepatitis E outbreak in Jaipur due to Genotype IA

An outbreak of hepatitis E virus (HEV) genotype 1A in Jaipur was caused by contaminated municipal water. Public health interventions like boiling water and improving sanitation controlled the spread of this infectious hepatitis outbreak.
