Abstract:
We evaluated two dedicated units that calculate CO for teenage and adult ranges. We also tested a unit designed for use on neonatal to pediatric patients and discussed this device separately. Both of the evaluated units were rated Acceptable. Because of the limitations of ultrasound (US) technology, we found these units to be best suited for trending CO; however, the utility of US CO for this application far outweighs its limitations.
