The effect of chemotherapy on olfactory function and mucociliary clearance

Chemotherapy negatively impacts cancer patients' sense of smell and nasal function. Younger patients experienced a more significant decline in olfactory function, suggesting a complex cytotoxic effect on the nasal mucosa.
