    • To determine if the Curriculum Embedded Weight Sensitivity Training (CeWebs) program influences perceptions of obesity controllability.

    Main Methods:

    • A one-group repeated measures study design was employed.
    • Pretest and posttest data were collected from 125 junior nursing students.
    • The Attitudes Toward Obese Persons (ATOP) and Beliefs About Obese Persons (BAOP) scales were utilized.

    Main Results:

    • Significant improvements in Attitudes Toward Obese Persons (ATOP) scores were observed (p < .01).
    • Significant increases in Beliefs About Obese Persons (BAOP) scores indicated a perception of obesity as less controllable (p < .01).
    • Post-training ATOP scores increased from 73.96 to 84.59, and BAOP scores increased from 18.20 to 22.22.

    Conclusions:

    • Integrating weight sensitivity training into nursing curricula can foster more positive attitudes toward patients with obesity.
    • The CeWebs program demonstrates potential for improving nursing students' understanding and beliefs about obesity.
    • Further research should explore long-term impacts on clinical practice and patient outcomes.
