A simple method of posterior rectopexy for rectal procidentia

A simple method of posterior rectopexy as a treatment for rectal procidentia involved a series of horizontal nonabsorbable purse string sutures placed between the posterior one-third of the circumference of the rectum and the sacrum. The procedure seems to be effective.
