Summary

Slowly expanding lesions in multiple sclerosis (MS) show progressive demyelination and tissue loss, indicated by changes in magnetization transfer ratio and diffusion tensor imaging radial diffusivity. These findings suggest ongoing disease activity in white matter MS plaques.
