Summary

Brown Norway rats developed reproducible glaucoma with elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) and retinal ganglion cell (RGC) damage. Lister Hooded rats showed RGC dysfunction without significant IOP changes, indicating strain-dependent responses in glaucoma models.
