Patients with single ventricle circulations, such as hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) and single left ventricle (SLV), exhibit abnormal wave patterns in the aorta. These patterns indicate increased afterload and are linked to reduced exercise capacity in Fontan patients.
