Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the frequency and types of injuries sustained in Inline Skater Hockey.
  • To compare ISH injury patterns with those in ice hockey.
  • To assess the impact of protective equipment on injury occurrence, particularly head injuries.

Main Methods:

  • A retrospective, cross-sectional epidemiological study was conducted.
  • Data was collected from 274 ISH players using a 112-item questionnaire.
  • The questionnaire covered demographics, injuries across eight body regions, and overuse injuries, with a total exposure time of 2787 hours.
