Sleep-related head jerks: toward a new movement disorder

Excessive sleep-related head jerks (SRHJ) can occur in REM sleep and are sometimes linked to sleepiness. While common, severe SRHJ may represent a distinct sleep disorder separate from REM sleep behavior disorder.
