COVID-19 Outcomes Among Solid Organ Transplant Recipients: A Case-control Study

Solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients with COVID-19 experienced similar death rates and disease severity compared to non-transplant patients. However, SOT recipients had higher renal replacement therapy use and hydroxychloroquine treatment was linked to increased mortality.

- The high mortality associated with HCQ in SOT recipients warrants further investigation.
