Summary

Researchers identified four plasma proteins, including inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain 4 (ITIH4) and vitamin D-binding protein (VDB), as potential biomarkers for major depressive disorder (MDD). A panel of these proteins shows promise for accurate clinical diagnosis of MDD.
