Recurrent pregnency loss: Depression, hopelessness, and martial adjustment

Purpose:
The aim of the study was to determine depression, hopelessness level and marital adjustment of women diagnosed with recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL).
Design And Method:
This descriptive study included 66 RPL women.
Findings:
It was found that hopelessness level of 47% of women was mild, 18.2% of them were moderate, and 13.6% of them were severe. Depression level of women 30.3% were moderate, 24.3% of them were mild, and 1.5% of them were severe. It was found that women's marital adjustment was low, and their level of depression increased with increasing hopelessness.
Practice Implications:
It was found in the study that evaluating women, who are diagnosed with RPL, regarding their marriage problems, hopelessness, and depression level together with their partners is important.
