[Spinal Intradural Extramedullary Ependymoma:A Case Report]

Spinal ependymomas can present as intradural extramedullary tumors, sometimes with cystic components spanning multiple vertebrae. Careful surgical consideration is vital due to potential recurrence and lack of standard adjuvant therapy guidelines.

- IDEM spinal ependymomas can exhibit extensive vertebral involvement and cystic characteristics.
- Tumor grade and extent are critical factors in prognosis.
Implications:
- Postoperative adjuvant therapy for IDEM spinal ependymoma lacks consensus.
- Intraoperative findings and tumor characteristics necessitate individualized treatment strategies.
- Risk of dissemination or recurrence after surgery requires careful management.
