Pathophysiologic mechanism of hydramnios development in twin transfusion syndrome. A case report
The Journal of Reproductive Medicine
|April 1, 1987
Abstract:
A case of prenatally diagnosed twin transfusion syndrome occurred. Early acute hydramnios at 18 weeks' gestation was the basis for sonographic evaluation. Follow-up observations and histopathologic findings on both twins suggested that excessive fetal micturition is responsible for the hydramnios in monozygotic twins with the transfusion syndrome.
