    Background:

    • To evaluate the tolerance and toxicity of alpha interferons when combined with various antineoplastic agents and modalities.

    • Phase I-II clinical studies were conducted combining alpha interferon with melphalan/prednisone, vincristine, vinblastine, etoposide (VP-16), cyclophosphamide, and radiation.
