First Report of Pythium torulosum Causing Corn Root Rot in Northeastern China

A new corn root rot pathogen, Pythium torulosum, was identified in Heilongjiang, China. This finding is the first report of this oomycete causing disease in Northeastern China, posing a potential threat to corn crops.
