Subsurface enamel remineralization by Lyophilized Moringa leaf extract loaded varnish

- Seventy-five teeth were divided into five groups.
- Enamel windows were etched and treated with plain varnish, fluoride varnish, or MOL extract-loaded varnish (50 mg/ml and 200 mg/ml).
- Samples were incubated in artificial saliva for 14 days and analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX).

- SEM analysis showed that MOL extract-loaded varnish promoted the re-establishment of normal enamel architecture.
- Elemental analysis revealed significantly higher deposition of Calcium (Ca), Phosphorus (P), and Oxygen (O) in MOL extract-treated groups compared to fluoride varnish.
- The 200 mg/ml MOL extract group demonstrated superior results in enamel remineralization.
