Opposition replacement: illustrated by a new technique. Preliminary report of cases

A modification of le Coeur's method of restoring opposition of the thumb is described. An outrigger is built upon the thumb metacarpal to give a suitable direction of force, an enhanced mechanical advantage and an improved appearance.
