    Summary

    Autologous pericardium successfully reconstructed the mitral anulus in patients with infective endocarditis or iatrogenic damage. This surgical technique shows promising results for mitral anulus repair and functional improvement.

    Background:

    • Eight patients survived with a mean follow-up of 8 months.
    • No prosthetic or patch dehiscence was observed.

    • Direct suturing to the endocardium facilitates successful repair.
