    Summary

    This case study highlights vesicular linear lichen planus, an uncommon skin condition. We discuss its unique presentation and differential diagnoses for better clinical recognition.

    Background:

    • Lichen planus is a common inflammatory condition affecting skin and mucous membranes.
    • Typical lichen planus presents with pruritic, purple, polygonal papules and plaques.
    • Atypical variants, such as the linear or vesicular form, are less frequently encountered.

    Observation:

    • A 62-year-old woman presented with a distinctive vesicular linear rash.
    • The morphology and distribution of the lesions were key diagnostic features.
    • Clinical examination revealed vesicles arranged in a linear pattern on the skin.

    Findings:

    • The case confirmed a diagnosis of vesicular linear lichen planus.
    • Differential diagnoses considered included other blistering dermatoses and inflammatory conditions.
